Day 2 – Thursday 11 November 2021

Keynote – The Business Case for Sustainability

Innovation and sustainability go hand in hand. Therefore, in this session, speakers will explore the most sustainable innovations taking place within the cruise supply chain. They will also break down how the cruise design ecosystem can start to mandate sustainable practices and processes. Learn directly from the experts how to prioritize sustainability and its many aspects, from waste reduction to social equity. How better to learn what the decision makers want than by listening to them break down the critical sustainability-led questions specifiers put to the suppliers they are looking to work with?

René Dupont (Hammer/Edge) will be moderating this session. This session’s speakers include Bergen Hubert (Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute), My Nguyen (Holland America Group), as well as Nedgé Louis-Jacques (Tomas Tillberg Design).

We Are One Cruise Industry: Standardising Health & Hygiene

Creating a safe and healthy environment on board is critical for guest confidence. This has grown significantly in importance due to recent events. In this session, our panel of industry experts will be looking at the possibility of creating uniformity in health and hygiene across the cruise industry. Additionally, gain insight into the latest innovations and learn how hygiene policies and training can support cruise lines going forward.

Marcel Kind (Simwave) is moderating this session. The speaker panel includes Captain Patrik Dahlgren (Royal Caribbean Group), James Mitchell (Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd.), and Paul Morgan (VIKAND Solutions, previously Carnival Corporation).

We recently interviewed panel speaker Captain Patrik Dahlgren on the CSH blog. Find out more about this session, his role at Royal Caribbean Group, and future trends and opportunities impacting cruise hospitality.
